Update on Manuscript Submission Requirements and Templates
The International Journal of Education and Learning Studies (IJELS) announces an update to its manuscript submission requirements, effective October 22, 2026, to simplify the submission process and provide greater flexibility for authors.
Simplification of Manuscript TemplatesAuthors are no longer required to follow a rigid journal-specific article layout template. Nevertheless, all manuscripts must comply with the journal's academic writing standards, article structure, basic formatting requirements, citation style, and publication ethics as specified in the Author Guidelines.
Required Submission DocumentsAll new submissions must include the following three separate documents:
01. Cover LetterA formal submission letter outlining manuscript originality, scholarly contribution, relevance to the journal, and confirmation that all authors have reviewed and approved the submission.
02. Title PageA separate document containing the manuscript title, author identities, institutional affiliations, corresponding author details, authorship contributions, and required declarations.
03. Anonymous ManuscriptThe complete scholarly manuscript prepared without author-identifying information to maintain confidentiality during the double-blind peer-review process.
Supporting Document FormatsIJELS continues to provide standard document formats for the Title Page and Anonymous Manuscript to assist authors in preparing their submissions. These formats serve as practical guidance and do not impose a rigid article layout template.
Implementation DateThe revised requirements apply to all new manuscript submissions beginning October 22, 2026.
This adjustment does not change the journal's standards regarding scholarly quality, publication ethics, editorial transparency, or independent peer review.
Important Information for AuthorsAuthors are advised to carefully review the updated Author Guidelines before submitting their manuscripts.
