AUTHOR GUIDELINES

1. Journal Overview

Jurnal Inovasi dan Riset Pendidikan Dasar publishes high-quality scholarly articles in the field of education for researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers. The journal aims to promote scientific discussion, educational innovation, and the advancement of knowledge in teaching, learning, curriculum, educational assessment, and instructional development.

The journal is published three times a year in January, May, and September.

2. General Manuscript Requirements

  • Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review in other journals.
  • Articles may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English using academic and professional language.
  • Manuscripts should follow the official journal template and formatting guidelines.
  • Articles should contain approximately 5,000–7,000 words, including tables, figures, and references.
  • The manuscript must be free from plagiarism and will undergo similarity screening.
  • The article title should be concise, informative, and no longer than 20 words.
  • Abstracts must be written in both Indonesian and English with a maximum of 150 words.
  • Provide 3–8 keywords arranged alphabetically.

3. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized into the following sections:

  • Title
  • Author Information
  • Abstract and Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Literature Review (Optional)
  • Method
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgment (Optional)
  • References

4. Formatting Guidelines

  • Paper size: A4 with 2.54 cm margins on all sides.
  • Font: Garamond, 11 pt, line spacing 1.5.
  • Tables and figures should be clearly labeled and referenced in the text.
  • Equations must use standard mathematical formatting and numbering.
  • References should primarily consist of recent scholarly sources published within the last 10 years.
  • At least 80% of references should come from primary research sources.

5. Citation and Reference Style

Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote. All citations and references must follow the APA 7th Edition style.

6. Online Submission

  1. Submit manuscripts through the journal’s Open Journal System (OJS).
  2. Register an author account before submission.
  3. Complete all submission steps, including metadata and supplementary files.
  4. Upload the manuscript in Microsoft Word format (.doc/.docx).
  5. Review all information carefully before final confirmation.
