Screening Plagiarism

Indonesian Journal of Community Service in Education (IJCSE) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. Every manuscript submitted to the journal must be original and free from plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, and other forms of research misconduct.

Authors are strongly encouraged to screen their manuscripts using reputable plagiarism detection software, such as Turnitin, prior to submission to ensure compliance with the journal's originality requirements.

Similarity Policy

IJCSE applies a maximum overall similarity index of 20%, excluding bibliographic references, properly quoted text, and commonly used methodological expressions where appropriate.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial similarity screening before entering the peer-review process. The Editorial Office may also perform additional plagiarism checks after revision and prior to publication whenever necessary.

Editorial Action

Depending on the extent and nature of the detected similarity, the Editorial Board may:

  • Request the authors to revise and reduce the similarity level before peer review.
  • Return the manuscript for substantial correction.
  • Reject the manuscript if significant plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical overlap is identified.
  • Retract a published article if plagiarism or other publication misconduct is discovered after publication.
Author Responsibility

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original, appropriately cited, and free from plagiarism. Proper acknowledgment must be given whenever ideas, text, figures, tables, or other materials from previously published works are used.

Academic Integrity
Compliance with this plagiarism screening policy helps ensure the originality, credibility, and scholarly quality of every article published in IJCSE. The journal reserves the right to conduct plagiarism screening at any stage of the editorial and publication process.
