Archiving

Indonesian Journal of Community Service in Education (IJCSE) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published scholarly content. The journal adopts reliable digital preservation strategies to guarantee permanent access to its publications, even in the event that the journal is no longer actively published.

PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

IJCSE utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a digital preservation service developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for journals published using Open Journal Systems (OJS).

The PKP Preservation Network provides secure, distributed, and decentralized preservation of journal content, ensuring that published articles remain authentic, accessible, and permanently available for future readers and researchers.

LOCKSS Preservation

The PKP Preservation Network operates using the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) technology, which preserves digital content by maintaining multiple authenticated copies across geographically distributed preservation nodes. This approach protects published content from accidental loss, corruption, or technological failure.

Benefits of Digital Preservation
  • Long-term preservation of published scholarly content.
  • Permanent public access to articles, even if the journal ceases publication.
  • Protection against data loss through distributed preservation technology.
  • Verification of the authenticity and integrity of archived content.
  • Increased reliability and sustainability of the journal's scholarly record.
Preservation Standards

The journal supports internationally recognized preservation practices and follows the preservation framework promoted by the Public Knowledge Project. PKP PN is particularly beneficial for journals that are not yet participating in other preservation services, such as CLOCKSS or Portico, while providing a trusted long-term preservation solution for open-access scholarly publications.
