Artificial Intelligence Policy
Artificial Intelligence Policy
IMPACT: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Multidisipliner, established in 2026 and published by PT. Intelektiva Global Nusantara, recognizes the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in academic writing, research, and scholarly publication. Although AI tools may support manuscript preparation, their use must remain transparent, limited, accountable, and ethically responsible.
Permitted Use of AI
Authors may use AI-assisted tools, including ChatGPT, Grammarly, or similar language models and writing-support applications, only for limited technical assistance during manuscript preparation.
AI-assisted or AI-generated content must not exceed 15% of the overall manuscript. Authors remain fully responsible for reviewing, verifying, revising, and approving all content produced or modified with the assistance of AI tools.
Prohibited Use of AI
AI tools must not replace the intellectual contribution, scholarly judgment, critical analysis, or accountability of the authors. The following uses are strictly prohibited:
- Generating the original research idea, community service concept, theoretical argument, or scholarly contribution of the manuscript.
- Interpreting research data, evaluation findings, participant responses, or community service outcomes without direct author verification.
- Generating conclusions, recommendations, or implications that are not directly supported by the reported evidence.
- Writing substantial portions of the manuscript or replacing the authors’ intellectual and analytical contributions.
- Fabricating, manipulating, or altering research data, program results, participant information, quotations, documentation, or community impact.
- Creating fictitious, inaccurate, unverifiable, or nonexistent citations and references.
Disclosure Requirement
Authors are required to disclose any AI-assisted tools used during manuscript preparation. The disclosure must be included in the Acknowledgment section and should identify the name of the tool and the purpose for which it was used.
“The authors used ChatGPT solely to improve grammatical accuracy and language clarity. All generated suggestions were reviewed, revised, and verified by the authors, who remain fully responsible for the final content of the manuscript.”
AI tools, language models, chatbots, and other automated systems cannot be listed as authors or co-authors. Authorship requires human accountability, approval of the final manuscript, responsibility for the integrity of the work, and the ability to respond to editorial and ethical concerns.
Failure to disclose the use of AI tools, submission of fabricated AI-generated information, misuse of AI beyond the permitted scope, or AI-assisted content exceeding the established 15% threshold may result in manuscript revision, rejection, withdrawal, or retraction after publication. Additional action may be taken in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics and malpractice policies.
This policy is intended to protect the authenticity, transparency, accountability, originality, and academic integrity of every article published in IMPACT: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Multidisipliner. Regardless of the tools used during manuscript preparation, authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, ethical compliance, and scholarly quality of their work.
