The journal implements digital preservation strategies to safeguard articles against data loss, technological obsolescence, and service interruption.

The objective of this policy is to preserve the scholarly record and guarantee that published articles remain permanently accessible to researchers, practitioners, institutions, libraries, and the public.

Permanent Access

Published articles remain permanently accessible through the journal website and authorized preservation services.

Integrity

Archived files preserve the integrity and authenticity of the published Version of Record.

Reliability

Multiple preservation mechanisms reduce the risk of accidental loss or system failure.

Archived content remains discoverable through journal metadata, indexing services, repositories, and persistent identifiers.

Preservation Mechanisms

Journal Archive

All published articles are permanently maintained in the journal archive and remain freely accessible through the journal website.

PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

When enabled by the journal, published content is preserved through the PKP Preservation Network to ensure long-term accessibility and digital preservation.

LOCKSS/CLOCKSS

Where applicable, the journal may participate in distributed preservation systems such as LOCKSS or CLOCKSS to provide secure decentralized archival copies.

Institutional and Indexing Repositories

Article metadata and, where appropriate, full-text versions may also be preserved through institutional repositories, indexing databases, library catalogs, and scholarly discovery services.

Persistent Identifiers

Each published article receives a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to provide a permanent, stable, and citable link to the Version of Record.

The DOI remains associated with the article even when technical changes occur within the journal platform, ensuring reliable long-term citation and discovery.

Backup and System Security

The journal performs routine backups of manuscripts, publication files, metadata, editorial records, and journal databases to reduce the risk of data loss resulting from hardware failure, software malfunction, accidental deletion, or cybersecurity incidents.

Backup copies are managed according to institutional procedures and may be stored in multiple secure environments when appropriate.

Author Self-Archiving

Authors are encouraged to preserve and disseminate their work by depositing submitted, accepted, or published versions of their manuscripts in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, academic networking platforms, and other lawful archives.

Authors should include complete bibliographic information, the DOI, and a link to the official published version whenever available.

Long-Term Preservation Commitment

If publication of the journal is discontinued for any reason, reasonable efforts will be made to ensure that all previously published content remains permanently accessible through recognized digital preservation services, institutional repositories, or other trusted archival systems.
